September 1988 was when I first took Carol to Cornwall. My family had been holidaying in Cornwall for 10 years but this was Carol's first visit. I remember Carol was pregnant with James and really enjoyed those Crantock Beach steps up to The Fern Pit!! Needless to say Carol loved the place from the start - but it still seems strange that less than 12 years later we'd be living here.
